Quarkclan V2: your wishes and ideas

Hello Quarkies!

As I was sitting here in front of my monitor, following our backup forums
I thought it would be pretty usefull to creat this topic.

So what the hell is it about?
Easy: note here all your wishes and ideas for Quarkclan V2.
But please do it in a short, factual and clear way.

Less but therefore more active servers
Demotion of pretty inactive members
More events

Okay...first of all I really hate all the servers we got so I think you all agree with me if I say hey, what about decreasing the number of the servers we ran before the crash happened? I think that would be really usefull, yes.
Then, I really don't like a few high admins etc like for example NICKNAME1, NICKNAME2, NICKNAME3,.... so let's demote those bastards! What you think, hm? There's a chance to demote them now so let's do it!
bla ble blubb bla bla bla
And to finish my 5-pages-long-post I want more events where we can play play together and make us more popular.

Less servers (ND, Sniper, TJ and Panzer) for now.
No need to keep members who haven't been online for 2 months unless a valid explanation is given.
New communication system. E.g. with MSN, Xfire etc.
Try-Out being disbanded for now. New members are helpful in these times of need.

More are coming as soon as I come up with them

why no try-out?

just some comment on the "maximum # servers"
renting a dedicated server with only 4 servers is a waste of dedi money
you should be able to set up 6 proper servers without lag if you get a decent hosting company, just saying

sry for the incorrect usage of this forum jane, but i wanted to clear that up

*ND server for the beginners/spammers/"noobs" with max 34 slots (which include about 24 public slots and maybe 10 privates or something alike
*tj server without dj (obviously coz you learn how to rj there...) max 24 slots
*panzer server 24 slots public and 10 private, something alike
*sniper server 24 slots public and 10 private, something alike
*DEFINATELY a 2.6b etpro 3.2.6 server (dont know if it will get ppl but its better than having a 2.55 etpro server) 24 public, 10 private
*if we get enough members who want wars, another 3.2.6 etpro private warserver

*active members needed, not 250 who dont play in 5 months
*tryout rule stinks, just let them post, have members give their opinions and look from there
*new members should be easily promoted to something like full member if they comply to Q standards, if not, they should be kicked (this would give new members sort of a tryout rank first)

*maybe try with renting 1 server, getting alot of Q on there and see how popular it gets before spending lots of money on a dedicated server

The "try-out"-idea is pretty important since most of us ar tired of "troll-members" who join us, spam a bit on forums, bring us problems and are then never seen again.

The try-outs give us the possibility to get a closer view on the player's behaviour etc.

Sure, this absence of servers/forums now will cost us some members and in the beginning we will have to earn many new members, though....
quality before quantity.
I prefere less members but about which I can say yeap, they are good, active, polite members than many members from which I do not even know the half of and from which the majority are "one-day-flies".

@jane about the try out.

Try out is not realy needed,
u can do it like this to,
u let them in without a try out, if they behave they can stay, if he/they gonna be a trol or what ever u just give them a warning they still do it u give him/them instant clan kick.. just be hard in things like that.

This was meant in general, Daan.

Many Quark members started hating on me several times after I took strict decisions.

For example in Flexx's case. Or when Prison did the mass promo...

Idea :

I think about one thing. Try-out is a good idea to watch new peoples coming in clan. But do we really need inform new peoples they're in try-out ?

Set the "Try-Out" level as "New Member" one. Try-out means you're watching, so most of people be careful to how they act and speak. And then they begin to get worse when they got 100. Inform members/admins that "New Member" need to behave and if they make errors, just post it.

I think it'll be better like that. We'll see better who can enter in clan and who can't.

Jane I didn't. If anything I want strictly enforced rules. I am sick of high members like me getting a slap on the wrist and lower levels getting bans to the knee.

I hate to say I but we can't play favorites anymore if we want to be fair!

Also I like medics idea all the way.

What about a ranking server.?

Alot of people play for ranking, nubs or pro..

ranking means, u play for points,
u can see the ranking list on trackbase,

if u got a ranked server, nubs, normal people and pro will come and visit.
The most of the people are searching for a ranked server, becouse they got a competition between the whole world then.


If u search in that server list, the top servers are ranking servers and are almost all the time full.

Hmm..doesn't sound bad. I'll add that to the wishlist, too.

hmmmm thats brilliant Angel! If we play good enough, ower rank get up. Better ranks means that person gets noticed. That person is in this clan so the clan gets noticed! Instant popularity! Genius!

but we will need to ask our dear founders for that.

No for me... Chall said that we'll payed for 6 servers (now I don't remember the reasons, I am connected with a cell phone, I'll search his post)
So, if we pay for 6, we should have 6 servers:
-Nd
-tj
-panza
-snippa
-....
-....

We have two server to make, for me ND can stay ND, and we can create another ranking server.
And anyway we have 1 more server to create...

it is not necessary to take those 6 servers at once, u know how it was before this, only ND and tj ware a bit populair..
i said this alot of times and i will keep saying it, get a few servers populair and then take a other server. what is the point if u got 5-6 servers and there are only 5-6 people on it?

aint it better if u got 2-3 servers and they are full or almost all the time?
